Round two of the most social anti-social gathering in North Wales started bright and early. Another lovely sunny morning on the front lawn of Bryn a Grog Hall (no lords, no masters resident) took the edge of the bruises of Doom and it was all a very civilised breakfast bash from the onsite vegan café although beers, wines, and spirits were soon in plentiful evidence. The vintage Rolls Royce rolling past turned out to be from a wedding hire company and not our lift back into town, instead we were transported like Mexicans in the pitch black of the back of Ell’s van, the main man still ensuring everything running as smoothly as possible.

“Are you nervous yet?” I asked Elliot on the phone as I approached the campsite on the cusp of the 2012 Dirty Weekend, the first such festival in three years.
“Not yet,” He replied, “I should be, but I’m going to have a shower and some tea and it’ll probably hit me after that.”
Elliot Capper is partly responsible for this year’s instalment of The Dirty Weekend, which thanks to founder, Dave Cox, has had various guises over the annals of time; from the humble haphazard beginning in 2004 at The Dudley Arms in Rhyl, to the Morville Hotel on the Prom and the more audacious Hendre Hall near Bangor and now slap in the middle of Wrexham at the site of last year’s successful Ellfest…

THE DIRTY WEEKEND 2012 line up announced

Thats right, THE DIRTY WEEKEND 2012 will be held at the Midnight Lounge (above l’etage) and Xclusive (next door) in Wrexham, north wales.

on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH 2012
and SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 8TH 2012.

Im joining forces with the mighty Elliot Capper on this years festival and Hannah Pickup will also be getting stuck in with running the hardcore stage upstairs in Xclusive! Were pleased to announce Matt and Bo from Pumpkin Records will be running their own Pumpkin Stage aswell so it promises to be a real treat this year! In total there will be 3 stages and although its very early days we are aiming for hands down the BEST Dirty Weekend line up yet!
