Llandudno based community radio station, Tudno FM is to close down indefinitely. Citing the current pandemic behind the decision, there are no plans as to when (or if) they’ll reopen.
The station began broadcasting in 2008 and is of particular interest to this website as The Broken Jukebox and Neil Crud On TudnoFM both host regular shows on the network.
It transpires that this week was the final one for both.
And now… The end is near… And so I face my final curtain…. Yes, this is the final show broadcast on TudnoFM as the pandemic has taken it’s toll on the station and with little advertising revenue to support the community radio, we / they have had to call it a day after 12 years… My show ran for four years – and although it’ll probably continue in some form – it won’t be the same as being on the FM bandwidth…
