I was sat at the bottom of Station Road in Colwyn Bay, munching on a mega-Armageddon hormone injected chicken (maybe cat) burger. Steve Sync was doing his hair this evening, Andy Fatman was distilling his liver and Wayne was being a Bastard. So I was solo tonight.
Observing all around me, this is Colwyn Bay; my old stomping ground, where I moved to as a 19 year old to escape the drug clutches of Rhyl. This where I became Neil Crud, where both 4Q and Sons of Selina emerged from.
Some things are an institution; the 4Q slogan painted on the railway station wall is still there, the KFC was built before Colwyn Bay, and across the road stands The Imperial Hotel.

Der Bomber kicked off Pigstock line up

After the shennanigans at the recent Hendre Hall all dayer, and a lot of message board goading between Der Bomber & Lantern, the organisers of Denbigh’s Pigstock Festival issued this statement.

In the light of recent events at Hendre Hall on Sunday 24th July involving Der Bomber, Pigstock organisers have decided to withdraw their offer to Der Bomber to play at Pigstock 2005.  Regardless of any mitigating circumstances that may have occurred on the night the Pigstock organisers unanimously feel that the actions of certain members of Der Bomber at Hendre Hall were totally inappropriate.
Pigstock would like to thank Der Bomber for their support at the recent fundraiser, prior to this regrettable incident. This decision has been based on events witnessed first hand by two of the six Pigstock organisers and does not in any way reflect on the bands musical abilities.

There was this new lad who turned up at a place I used to work. He’d got a job on the shop floor like the rest of us, which was unusual cos most new employees started off in the warehouse and would be promoted to the shop floor after he’d served his time and if he was any good. None of us liked him; he was cock sure of himself and we didn’t like the fact that he was earning the same money as us when he was still wet behind the ears.

‘How come he can walk into this job, when we had to slog it in the back there to get here today?’ We’d cry.
The same lad went onto to become an area manager for the same company within a very short space of time. We still didn’t like him, but it was more through envy than anything else.
