NEW RELEASE – Emissaries Of Syn – The Core Assumptions Of Human Insecurity
Emissaries Of Syn have unleashed their new ‘debut proper’ album, with the catchy title ‘The Core Assumptions Of Human Insecurity’ – we expect you to buy it through Pyrrhic Defeat, Link2wales and other contributing labels. Available in a choice of fetching white, green or orange coloured vinyl with a great sleeve and lyric sheet, only a fool wouldn’t have this in their possession… For the fools among you, it’s available on Bandcamp as a free download.
From the castled walls of Conwy and with many fingers to point at the many wrongs within our society, these grind ‘n’ rollers have made a statement of intent. The Core Assumptions Of Human Insecurity (or TCAOHI for short) takes things up a level from their (many) previous releases. That dirty unrelenting sound is still there, although with better separation, and a tighter feel as they seer through the misgivings of this day and age.
Whereas previous releases had on occasion only been listenable in short bursts, this album demands you to listen from start to its thirty one minute conclusion.
This really is about those core assumptions that is at the forefront of human insecurity, and you will immediately try to balk from the home truths laid bare here.
Throughout history, mankind (personkind) has struggled through war, famine, death and successive Conservative governments. And yet, the populous are more content with being agitated by complete and utter bullshit… Digital lynch mobs, photo filtered models, being cookied to the Buy Now Button, eager to cut someone down (online of course) for delivering their Amazon rain forest destruction kit an hour late, morbidity tourism, showing token grief for someone you don’t know (just for Likes), – this society (Western society) is desensitised to war and the real life and death situations that rage on our doorsteps… Roll on World War Three.
This really is an excellent album that makes me angry.
