Mate – a great read. Thanks for the memories. I was 15 and also ended up walking through the corridors afterwards and saw the band, but my memory is way too hazy about the details. I was quite near the front and it was a great night. I can remember getting the bus there and back from Chester station. Good times.

Thanks for bringing back great memories. Got the bus from Chester to watch my new favourite punk band live after watching Chester beat Millwall, age 19. Still the best band ever now and still listening now when i feel the need for some 80s cheer in my life.

The treatment Micky Dread received was , a low point in an otherwise brilliant night…. the north south divide was wel and truly in evidence that night… any punk that had been to London would respected Mickey’s presence….

The blue ticket 0960 above is mine ..I still have the original ! I was 13 two days before the gig – met my schoolmate from the ‘Quay’ there – you know who you are Lee G ! Told ‘me mam’ I had a lift sorted to get home when I didn’t – ‘thumbed-it’ back and got a lift before I got ‘outta Shotton …sorted! —– Roy (‘Off’ Flint).

Funnily enough I remember “Beryl” from the Jiving Daleks set even though that was the one and only time I ever heard it.
