I was at that gig and actually had my photograph of EC published in the NWWN because their photographer was too much of a short arse to see over the heads of the crowd. Also got to go and have a look around EC tour bus which was a converted old American Greyhound bus (it stank).
I seem to remember standing having a piss in the bogs and some guy asking me what I thought of the support band, which I replied I thought they were shit, only to find Clive Langer having a piss next to me lol

I was Elvis Costello’s bus driver and remember Colwyn Bay Pier gig . Was the bus parked outside the Pier? The bus was an american Silver Eagle not a Greyhound . Did you meet Elvis or the Attractions or perhaps you spoke to me as I must have been there to show you round? Great gig by the way and love to Wales.

this gig ranks as one of the best i ever saw anywhere.clive Langer played a really great set and Costello banged out a seamingly endless procession of songa at breakneck speed. Didn’t know there was a bootleg will try and get a copy. Can’t believe it was so long ago christ i’m gettin old

I was there, a lanky 20 year old art student (of course!) I drove a bunch of us from Wrexham in my mum’s battered old Vauxhall Viva. All I can remember is the place was packed and we were late and trying to get anywhere near the front impossible but it was a great gig, Elvis was on fire!

We were there! My sister managed to get to the front was sitting on the stage and ended up with totally bruised shins from the pressure of people against her legs! We had a brilliant night!
