What a great night..! It was the EP launch for Emissaries Of Syn, whose ‘Clean Slate’ is out now on Bandcamp with two of those tracks out very soon on vinyl with Spam Javelin on ‘The Split Seven Inch EP’.
Keeping in line with their evocative ethics, proceeds from the evening were raised and donated to Medical Aid For Palestinians – the total being £170.

New Track – UGLY FASHION – Nico’s Mind

ugly fashion1Llandudno’s Ugly Fashion have aired a preview track from their forthcoming (as yet untitled EP) – the song Nico’s Mind is (I guess) an unintentional post-punk piece of art!
The band have been knocking around the toilets and dives of North Wales for six years now and it’s about time they put something down on tape!
Live shows have always been a spectacle as Migz (pic above) ensures his on stage yoga antics don’t go unseen… But… Just check out this track… and check out that voice..!
Looking forward to hearing the EP…

I was arrested in Mexico once, it was a case of mistaken identity; they roughed me up and said, ‘Take a seat Mr Sanchez, the interview will now begin.’
‘You’ve got fuck all on me!’ I screamed, but they reckoned they knew who I was, and although my ‘solicitor’ told me not to speak, I was angry and shouted, ‘Where the fuck is my car!?’

Dead Blends, Rainbow Bridge, Ugly Fashion, The Terminal Voyeurs @ Bodafon Farm, Llandudno

dead blendsAt last life stirs from the terminal Fogeyville that is Llandudno, in the shape of a concerted effort to have a regular alternative band night of some scale. Bringing in some bands from further afield to complement the local acts that are still persevering against the constant obstacles of a lack of venue opportunities and an audience beaten into apathy, I had heard that the inaugural event had been a great success even in the heart of winter so thought I’d check out the next instalment for myself.

Ugly Fashion, Stomping Ground UK, Ambassadors of Shalom @ The North, Rhyl

They say some things never change, but in the case of these long running Rhyl gigs, something has.. After 63 years, they have a new PA..!!!! No longer do you hear total distortion as every instrument competes with each other, drowning the vocals in a pool of guitar soup. No longer do you leave saying, ‘Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?’
