Siouxsie plays Colwyn Bay

Siouxsie & The Banshees play Colwyn Bay pier supported by Rhyl’s Amsterdam.
Steve Allen Jones of Amsterdam recalls, ‘‘To the best of my knowledge the Colwyn Bay gig was run by Louis Parker I think with someone actually running the gig on site; for the life of me, I cant remember who. With my connections to Louis, we got a few gigs like that. The gig itself… we were there quite early, The Banshees were late, very late. I think it was one of the few gigs they had done out of London. Steve Severin didn’t have a bass so Steve O (our bass player) lent him his. We barely got a soundcheck, the gig went ok, I remember Siouxsie got herself locked in the backstage toilet and, after much too-ing and fro-ing our roadie Steff passed her a screwdriver which opened the huge metal door.’
