I wrote a blog/rant about a compilation which (inadvertently) featured The Peakz and Big Rich (bassist with Melys) got in touch, ‘It was my 1st track as a side project when the Melys thing slowed down – Me and Gez put the drums together form loops in the studio and I played just about all the guitars (minor miracle as i’m shite with 6 string lol) and did all the vocals – soon after it turned into a proper band and rocked up a lot more lol !! Of the video above, he says, ‘A mate in America used this one for a vid he did for his kids – had near 2 million hits!!’
And since then…? ‘Was going well to be fair – Adam [Walton, BBC Radio Wales] played them all – Huw [Stephens, Radio One] too and John [Peel] before he died, ended about 5 years ago – I got ill and ended up having operations and the like so the other lads moved on – writing new stuff with the guitarist now as it goes.’
