Young Declan Crud takes over the mic for the start of the show, due to my bus running late – he does a decent job playing tracks off the new Something Personal EP, a new track from Deeside’s I Am Austin, also the new streamlined and harder Racketears and not forgetting the simply superb LP by Beastellabeast on Anhrefn Records.
   Leeds’ Infested thrash out a number in complete contrast to the melancholy, yet sweet dulcet tones of Carl Gintis with a track off his solo EP ‘Of No Fixed Abode‘.
   Have The Stilletoes split now that Efa has announced she’s bored of 3 chords and jumped on a plane? Colwyn Bay’s Kixxstart Kitty come back with a second helping of trash and Stockholm’s  Raised By Drunks share their eponymous anthem with us.
    Back in the Bay, The Upstarts give us a clean cut slab on Coming Down Fast, and Holyhead’s DeMask have grown up with Tall Tales.
    This leaves enough time for Conwy’s Finite Death to entertain the post human children and Cardiff’s Sweet Fontaine to showcase their new single Evermore, out on Dockrad Recs on Nov 2nd.

Summer’s over…. Well, not quite, but I’ve had a fair run at it – seven festivals and still one more to do have meant a distinct lack of casting over these fine warm and wet months. And why the hell not eh? – Would you rather spend your time hunched over a computer or marauding round fields listening to great music, drinking and spending time with your mates? Exactly..!!

I LOVE KHAGOOL – I also hate them for splitting up having only recorded 6 tracks in their career. Twats. The song I played on today’s show is the excellent (as are all of them) Sittingman the 3rd and final track on their EP. They also did a session for Adam Walton on BBC Radio Wales which was equally sublime; I keep badgering the Walton to make it available, but it falls on deaf ears (the twat!).
Other low points on the show is the submergence of Whales (from Anglesey) who made his live debut last week in Menai Bridge, check out the track – it’s bonkers..!

Many many years ago, when I used to religiously sit there listening to John Peel with my index finger hesitantly poised over the Rec button of my tape recorder, I got half a track called I Am A Rock by some obscure band called The Coolies. Peel marvelled over them saying they had an album called Dig that consisted entirely of Simon & Garfunkel cover versions, but in a cool [sic] way. So listen up…!
Followed by Perjury from South Wales and from around the same time as The Coolies (c1985).

Another beauty from the loins of the crud….
My cracked Sound Forge program had given up the ghost, so I tried using the Adobe Soundbooth for this one – sound was fine apart from the vocal; my ranting basically – always had trouble with the soundcard – the input would only work thru one channel.

PSST track was rediscovered on an unmarked CD, great stuff that one, they do put out some rubbish but every now and then a gem pops up. Also Destructors 666 version of The Sweet’s Hellraiser from their ace latest LP – maybe the NWPR should see if they can get this band up here for a festival, would be a welcome addition.
The Global Parasite track is just something else – brilliant. As is the Gintis one, an old fave I’ve not heard for a while.
