Neil Crud on TudnoFM – Show 73 – with Searching For Lee in Session

By |August 28th, 2017|0 Comments

Searching For Lee are from the Bangor area and I first saw them a month or so ago. They were haphazard, unrehearsed and even turned up to play a gig on the wrong date! So it was hit and miss whether they would show up for a live session on my show and actually get the right radio station! It’s that kind of unknown element I like in a band, and Searching For Lee possess it in abundance. I’m never sure how a live acoustic session will turn out; sometimes really good acts don’t quite hit the spot live in the studio – Searching For Lee smashed it… Get in..!!

ALBUM REVIEW – The Immediate – Manbouy

By |June 4th, 2017|0 Comments

Not many North Wales bands release an album, like, a ‘proper’ LP – so it’s always an event when it does happen. Like The Immediate – it only took them twenty years to follow-up their debut ‘The Boy Who Tried To Change The World’. Was it worth the wait..?

Link2wales Top 40 for 2016

By |January 3rd, 2017|0 Comments

As there were several glaring omissions in all the luvvies’ lists for 2016 here’s the link2wales Top 40 tunes of 2016 – the only rule is one song per band / act and they need a Welsh connection…

  1. Dan Amor & Huw Owen – Mothers In Day-Glo

Swooshed was a compilation album released on leap day by Recordiau Cae Gwyn and this song is my favourite of 2016. I cannot stop playing it. A collaboration between Cae Gwyn’s Dan Amor and Mr Huw’s Huw Owen – it reminds me of c1970 Pink Floyd – utterly infectious.
