Pyrrhic Defeat Records celebrate their 10th vinyl release
Conwy based label Pyrrhic Defeat Records are celebrating their tenth vinyl release.
Run by Mark Watson-Jones, he says, ‘Personally I’m still as much into vinyl as ever, and am pleased to have helped add these to the underground music network that still strives to support the scenes and makes the international connections. Nine countries represented, over fifty labels collaborating. it’s been great to be involved and there’s more to come. I appreciate these are luxuries in harsh times but you are allowed to treat yourself.’
Mark is also one of Emissaries Of Syn, who have just released their album ‘The Core Assumptions Of Human Insecurity’ on the label (review). This album, like many others are only made possible through collaborating with other like-minded record labels. Basically, the labels club together to pay for the vinyl to be manufactured [link2wales also contributed to this latest release].
Bands include Warlockhunt, Rash Decision, Vitriolic Response and Schkeuditzer Kreuz.
Pyrrhic Defeat also runs a distribution service – wheeling and dealing hundreds of releases.
