This landed in my inbox this morning with no fanfare and no blurb (which is always a good sign). Research reveals that Wil Williams is based in Caernarfon, having got thrown out of Bangor and is/was in The Continentals.
Whether this track on CEG Records is a one-off, a promo or a taster I do not know. What I do know it’s dead catchy in a campfire kind of way and adds to the growing collection of songs that reference North Walian settlements.
His gravelly yet smooth vocal tones compliment the mood of this upbeat tune and living in the castle, Wil gets no hassle from the people he meets. Ace
