NEW ALBUM – Coolzey & ProjektZero – ZeroCool

Coolzey delivers once again…
The (c)rapper from Iowa, the man behind Spam Javelin‘s ill fated mini-tour of the States last year, the maverick, the Instagram star has brought out a new album…
I love Coolzey’s world, having worked with him on both his visits to North Wales, I’m still unsure whether it’s a real world or a make-believe one… I kind of hope it’s both, but wouldn’t be disappointed if it’s neether or neither…

Not sure if ProjektZero is a person, a collective or a figment of Coolzey’s imagination? Who cares? Although he does talk of both Cool and Zero in House Of Zero in an Eminem style. What I do know is that the follow up to this year’s ‘Fight The American Celebrity Machine’ is cool as fuck. Love the Scrubs bit in ZeroCool.

While ‘conventional’ rappers are putting caps in yo ass, Coolzey is putting smiles on your faces, while (I think) discussing school life and bullying. It’s rappy, catchy, popping, loungy, rocking and reeling all in one… Play it from start to finish and in 24 minutes after the top drawer closing track Bring Out Your Nerds you find yourself pressing repeat… That final song is like a TV show when the whole cast erupt into song… Fuckin’ class… Get it on Bandcamp –
