Video – CRATOR – Blas Da
Unearthed this by Denbigh rock band Crator of the mid-1970s. They alleged that Blas Da was the fastest selling Welsh language record of all time, although I do recall the owner of the record shop in Denbigh trying to sell me a copy (c1981) and I refused saying it was rubbish! (Regrets…? I have a few…)
The song, although released in 1979 has it’s musical roots firmly embedded in the mid-70s (Denbigh is still embedded in the mid-70s ha ha!), and on retrospective listen it isn’t that bad at all… Nicely produced by Selwyn Davies at Stwdio Sain in Llanfwrog, and does have an element of post-punk about it.
