Dog Legs release debut EP
Menai Bridge dirty lo-fi outfit Dog Legs release their debut EP ‘Awkward’ today via Bandcamp.
Featuring the juvenile vocals of Moe Meade, she sort of reminds me of The Runaways film in a ‘Have guitar will play in a band so fuck you’ attitude.
Along with drummer Liam Bradbury, Dog Legs have connections with the Transylfechan contingent of Klaus Kinski, Irma Vep, Sex Hands and god knows who else, so they’re in good company.
This 6 track EP crawls from the schoolkiddish Dear Ruth a song about three cats and one dog, to the very early Runaways bubblegum punk opening track Beast Like Me.
The inspiring Chester Memory Lane is a joyful story about ‘Going through’ boys, as in ‘Boy No.4 kept fucking whores.’ Simply brilliant, before the song flips to ‘going through girls’ as in ‘Girl No.6 what a bitch.’
Love it… fucking love its simplicity… You should too…
