Dora Nadine werent available for the show. The promoter knew about it for a good few weeks but decided not to tell anyone.

Another reason bands may not show up is probably because the sheer lazyness of them in charge of the nights. No flyers, no posters, not even a photo on the event.

The venue has great potential. Its just a shame whoevers in charge, thinks if they have a room with some speakers and a bar, they can start putting on gigs.

Sorry I missed you Neil I was under the weather sadly, however keep up with the moaning n ranting -till ppl start to change and revive what is killing the industry not only locally but nationally.
Promoters / venues have to do more and sadly a trend we are seeing across the country more n more bands pulling out of gigs last minute.
Music lovers are more into dowloading and armchair supporting, which is killing the bottom end of the industry and if it continues more n more venues will close and unsigned bands will not progress to their true potential.
Thank you for your forthright, honest report which I loved -rant included!!hoope to catch you at a gig asap. Keeping it Live n Loud – Jimferno

Glad I found this, its always good to have feedback! Inferno were indeed amazing and we would love to have them back again. We did have a fair few problems on friday as the promoter did not let us know that Dora Nadine and Engage the Enemy were not coming so we couldnt even try to get someone else, and I still don’t know why Drop out la didn’t come as we havnt been told. We did have posters but know were near enough and the event did have a picture and was pushed as much as we could on facebook. Im pretty new to RJs and am working to improve all of this for band nights here as I know how much potential there is. Our next band night is on the 23rd November being run by a different promoter who will be handling the pa himself, and im looking into hiring in a better pa system as I think that would make a massive difference. So keep an eye out for line up for the next band night and the posters and flyers that will follow! Hopefully itl be the start of RJs reaching its potential and become a good place to see live music!

Inferno arent interesting enough to pull a crowd, theyre just cliched, workmanlike metal.

Euros played an amazing set down the road to a full room.

Joy Formidable played to a packed audience the night before at Hendre Hall.

Its fuck all to do with fliers. All to do with punters not having bottomless pockets and choosing good and interesting shit over and above the mundane.

The bands are pretty much shit. Youre morning a scene that died 20 years ago. Students arent leftfield fucks anymore. Since education got democratic the cheap drink club night has been king. Its all about fucking. The women at universitys dont look like East German shotputters and the men dont all look like Harry Potter without the magic. So they go to clubs to get pilled and pissed and fuck each other. Who wants In fucking ferno getting in the way with their tedious fucking shit.

The live scene is more about older people now, mid 20s+. Only retarded bedwetters like metal after theyve got passed 21.

RJs – book good interesting bands and youll get good interesting crowds. Book the same old wank and youll be serving Crud and Rastin and no other fuckers.

Youve been banging on about this shit for years. Since Blu shut. Theres more going on now than ever. Stop moaning about fucking Facebook and get out there to review the interesting shit or shut up.

A band from Caernarfon are 20 in the Itunes chart. North welsh musicians play ed Reading and Leeds. Bastiosn touring. Good times.
