Artist Information

Toy Horses' debut album is suffused with the tunefulness and charm of The
Beatles, Squeeze and early Wilco. In fact, they collaborated with Wilco to
record the album in Nashville, after bewitching audiences at the influential
SXSW Music Showcase in Texas. These are no mean achievements for a songwriting
duo from Cardiff (who tour with a full band). If you have a love for melody, for
the bands already mentioned - as well as Big Star, the Posies, World Party et
al., then you're in for a treat. And feel free to blame us for the many earworms
that will take residence during their set.

Toy Horses: Adam D. Franklin & Tom Williams
w/ Tom Rees (Drums) & Jon Proud (Bass) & Carl Prior (Guitar/Keys)

Houdini Dax are one of the most accomplished and exciting young bands in the UK
at the moment. Their debut album, 'You Belong To Dax Darling' (See Monkey Do
Monkey Records) recalls Supergrass, early Pink Floyd, Blur, The Kinks - but
retro as these influences undoubtedly are, Houdini Dax write insidious,
top-tapping, singalong *modern* classics. Their songs are for now. Their energy
is irresistible. On the few occasions they have played up here, they have never
been less than brilliant.

Greta Isaac is a prodigiously talented 16 year old songwriter who has already
won herself a session on BBC Radio 1 and regular airplay on BBC Radio Wales. All
this, despite not having issued a 'proper' release yet! She has a voice that
would melt the coldest and most cynical of hearts, and a gift for writing tunes
that are happy and sad by equal measure, and all the more bewitching and
enduring for that. Greta is one to listen out for. She will be on stage at 8pm.
Do not miss her!
